What religion is Shaun Dennis?
Shaun regards himself as a Christian Spiritualist.
What should we value most in life?
Freedom. Unfortunately for some, its true value isn’t realised until its been taken away from them. Countless lives have been lost in trying to preserve it. We should never forget that our relative peace is as a result of their sacrifice.
Have you ever worked for the Police?
Yes, but not in a psychic role.
Can messages still be given to a medium if the spirit person didn’t speak English?
Fortunately, the Spirit World can use a number of methods to get in touch such as feelings and images for instance. Through these routes, effective communications can still take place. Secondly, a medium’s guides can act as translators if words are to be placed into the mind of the medium.
What bothers you the most about this World?
The suffering! I dearly wish that the design of life was such that one creature did not have to prey on another to survive. It is one of the reasons I became a vegetarian. Although my faith is very strong and the formation and existence of life is a wonderful thing to behold, I cannot, and would not agree that the terrible pain and difficulties that people face in their lives is anywhere near a perfect plan of creation.
How do Spirits identify themselves?
Shaun Dennis, like the American Medium John Edward, points out that it is for the spirit communicator to use choose how they make themselves known. Some will do this by their name, others perhaps, in some other way such as their relationship to you or the job they did.
Does Shaun Dennis work in a similar way to Derek Acorah and Colin Fry?
While all stage mediums have similarities, their styles of delivery
can be different reflecting, perhaps, both their personality and approach to the subject.
What do messages from the Spirit World feel like to you?
They can be incredibly moving as the very powerful love flows through when a loved one in spirit draws close to the person I am giving the message to. It’s difficult, if not impossible to put into words. I have met so many genuine people who truly still love those that are no longer on our side of life.
By way of example, I remember doing a reading for a lady when I became aware of a spirit gentleman standing in the room with us. He told me he was her husband and then proceeded to tell me about their very special bond and described some very specific parts of their lives together. Being honest, I had to pause occasionally for this wonderful lady had tears rolling down her cheeks but was smiling too for she knew and fully believed in his continued existence and felt his presence in the room.
I was also overcome with the deep love these two fine people had for each other.
Each love is unique but special and obviously very personal to the people involved.
I told this lady that her devoted husband still kissed her head each night and she said ‘I know, I feel it’. It was one of the most moving and rewarding links I have ever had the honour of being part of.
What sort of people do you both admire and respect?
All those that look after our physical, mental or spiritual well-being; such as doctors, carers, nurses, cleaners, police officers, the armed services, and charitable organisations.
It does include sincere public servants, journalists and aid workers who both risk and have lost their lives in the many troubled spots of the world.
Do all people believe in the Spirit World?
Sadly not, but most people in the world believe in some form of afterlife. To explain, imagine a line, that at one end are the people that totally believe and at the other those that completely disbelieve. Everyone else lies somewhere in between.
The very sceptical have a view of existence that excludes all paranormal phenomena. Their belief system excludes not only psychics and mediums but God too. I believe that is the position of Y.N.D (initials) as well. To that extent their opinion about all such matters is based on the physical and rational world. It is a perfectly understandable position. Indeed, I would much rather live in a society that allows different opinions than one that does not.
Therefore to a sceptic, if a medium claims to have received a full name when performing in front of an audience, they will assume that the information was obtained by a non- paranormal method such as chance, guesswork or some form of trickery. They may, for instance, form the view that the medium had access to the names and addresses of theatre audience members.
At this point I would like to state that we have never asked for such information prior to a show. Indeed, it is highly unlikely that any theatre would provide it if asked. Furthermore, even for those shows we book through our own office, only a person’s initials are asked for, not their names, for that very reason. This policy has been in place for some years. The point being, that we feel very strongly that a medium should have no prior information regarding his or her audience members.
We believe that it is important that each person forms their own view about psychic medium-ship. In fairness, to a non-believer asking someone to accept the existence of a spirit being let alone any ability for him or her to be able to communicate can be a huge step for someone.
Faith and belief for many are often very private matters. All we ask at shows is for people to come with an open mind.
