Shaun Dennis visits Ground Zero, New York City
The families of mediums also have to face dealing with the physical suffering and loss that goes on this side of life. It was against just such a background that my wife and I visited New York last year, which was a gift from our sons. It was a very difficult time for my wife, for her fourth remaining brother was being treated for lymphoma. She almost didn’t go but his condition improved so we went. Unfortunately, his position considerably worsened in the weeks that followed and he left this side of life at the end of December 2009.
Our first visit when in New York was to St Patrick’s Cathedral to offer our prayers for those who passed and were affected by the 9/11 tragedy. Amongst the many that lost their lives on that fateful day were also 411 emergency workers. The New York City Fire Department (FDNY) lost 341 firefighters and 2 FDNY paramedics. The New York City Police Department lost 23 officers. The Port Authority Police Department lost 37 officers and 8 additional EMTs and paramedics from private EMS units were killed. These very special people paid the ultimate sacrifice on that day and it is to their honour that I have made this entry.
We also went to the site of 9/11 and the photo shows a photograph taken inside St Paul’s which, in the weeks following the attack, well-wishers created a make- shift memorial along the iron gates that surrounded it. They left thousands of pictures, notes, cards, patches from different fire departments worldwide and flowers dedicated to those who lost their lives. This part of our visit was very moving.
I would recommend anybody who can visit New York to do so for despite the difficulties that this fine City has had to endure, we found it to be a very interesting place to visit and the people were so friendly and welcoming.
Joint link involving the name Tommy Davis
One of the main tasks of a medium is to try and separate out the information as it enters his or her mind. With this message, the name Tommy Davis was recognised by two audience members, one was in the spirit world and the other was still our side of life. However, I felt that there was a spirit link or links for her too. I was correct but it did take some sorting out. These two ladies had smiles of joy on their faces for the rest of the show.
Work Colleague Gets in Touch…
As this recording shows, previous work friends now in the spirit world can also get in touch. This spirit gentleman, a Kenny Birchall, made himself known by his full name and mentioned events that took place while they used to work together.

AN AMAZING MESSAGE FROM BEYOND - Listen out for the house number at the end!
I gave this detailed message (the 2nd of two to her that night) from spirit loved ones to a truly wonderful lady who attended one of my shows. It was my deep honour to be the bearer of this communication, as she had waited a long time but was amply rewarded for her prayers.
Angels and Destiny
I often get enquiries regarding angels. It’s surprising how many people report having been visited by one of these heavenly beings. It is my view that most, if not all of us have guides who try and direct us throughout our lives. In very gentle ways, they put thoughts and feelings into our minds in order that our lives go in more meaningful directions. This is no easy business for them as our minds are usually preoccupied with the many thoughts and problems associated with modern living.
It is my view that our connections with the spirit world were clearer during ancient times. This is understandable when life expectancy was much shorter than it is today.
Surveys taken show that, on the whole, many people still believe in an afterlife
even if they don’t attend church on a regular basis. To believe in Angels or heavenly guides, there must surely be paths of life we are meant to take. As human beings, we are given that sacred gift of ‘free will’. Each moment of our life we can be making choices, which can either help or harm others. When these decisions are made that involve close family members, their effects can be far reaching. If we were able to look back at our lives, would we still make the same choices, and if not, why? Could it be that looked at with experience, we realise that our lives and those connected to us could have been so different.
It needs to be said at this point that many painful and tragic events happen within our lives that we have little or no influence over. I for one would not suggest that these things ‘were meant to be’. This short article refers to the events within our lives that we do have some control over and can be affected by making the right decision at the right time.
Our heavenly helpers have a much more informed view of where our lives should be going and whom we should spend it with. Even my own son some six years ago was not in the right relationship and I said, don’t worry, in the last week of May or first week of June next year you will meet someone who was meant for you and her name will either be Samantha or have something to do with that name. Given this was the October of the previous year; he was reluctant to believe it. The months rolled by and in the last week of May met a girl named Samantha, and I said, ‘what happened?’ ‘Nothing’, he replied. However the following week (the first week of June) he met a girl named Rebecca, but her parents were going to name her Samantha. He is still with her now! I must stress that this information was passed to me by one of my own heavenly helpers.
The point about all of this is that, in my view, much of our life is set out to receive certain lessons and to do so; we need to involve certain people in our lives. I’m sure the reader of this will have experienced that special chemistry that made one person suitable and another not so. Many search for their soul partner but should not be depressed if their present one is less than ideal because the lessons in the relationship might have been needed.
Seen from a heavenly point of view, there are signposts that occur within our lives suggesting a more meaningful direction for us to take but many, because they can be driven by negative compulsions such as alcohol or drug abuse, choose to ignore them.
I also take the view that our loved ones in the spirit world can sometimes be chosen to try and direct us to take better paths of life. How frustrating it must be for them as they witness us make the very same mistakes as they did. Although we look to the material goodies of life, angelic and spirit beings are more interested in the development of our soul. Therefore qualities such as compassion and understanding are more important to them.
That is not to say that, some ‘messages’ can’t have great meaning. I once gave a message to one young lady indicating that despite many setbacks in the past (about 7 of them), she would become pregnant and all would be well within the year. She looked at me with such emotion in her expression that I almost started crying myself. I saw her a little over 12 months later, with I’m glad to say, a wonderful healthy child.
It’s those moments that give so much meaning to my life and work.

Chris Gill - We Will Always Remember You…
It is with great regret and sadness that I have to report the Passing of Chris Gill, my wife’s fourth remaining brother this side of life. He faced his illness with true courage over a 2 year period. Chris attended many of Shaun’s shows helping out in different ways. He also used his outstanding photographic skills for our benefit for which we are very grateful.
He touched many lives and will be both fondly remembered and loved by his family and friends. Chris does of course, live on in the Spirit World with those that went before him.
I sense your presence my brother, as others do from time-to-time.
About You
I’ve been very fortunate to meet some wonderful people in this work; many who have lost loved ones from our side of life in very tragic circumstances. For some it can be a child, their husband/wife, friend or perhaps a parent. For others, grandparents or other relatives. Each passing is unique to the person concerned. However we cannot break these bonds of love unless it is your wish to do so. Therefore, they are still in your life and you in theirs. It is this wonderful connecting force called love, which cannot be measured in a scientist’s jar but motivates and can give great meaning to all of our lives. You are all very special people and have a part of your being that survives what we call physical death. Those that have ‘passed’ will visit you from time-to-time irrespective of whether you sense them or not. Visiting a medium either at a public demonstration, show or in a one-to-one session, gives your loved ones an opportunity to try and demonstrate this fact. By so doing, great comfort can be brought into your lives as you come to realise that what you though was an end, is in fact just a beginning.
Sceptics and believers alike will all find this out one day. Mediums and others with strong beliefs about this other continued existence don’t need convincing.
One of the most moving moments for me in this work was when I did a reading for one elderly lady. This wonderful soul hobbled into the room and sat before me. One by one her spirit loved ones made themselves known in such a powerful way. As the session came to an end, she humbly got up from her chair and said with utter faith and conviction, ‘ I knew they wouldn’t let me down’. So emotional was the experience, I had to spend a few minutes coming to terms with the love and feeling they all expressed for her.
A previous cleaner by trade but a saint by nature, it is for people like her that I do this work and of course, for those like you!
ARE YOU THERE?
You will probably react with disbelief or feel numbed with the tragic news regarding the loss of a loved one. Many emotions can then be felt such as pain, guilt, anger and depression. Each passing is different even though counsellors report certain stages of behaviour as we attempt in some way to come to terms with the huge shock the loss presents us with.
From the spirit person’s point of view, they suddenly find themselves fully aware and standing in what appears to be ‘a body of light’. Initially, they might try to get in touch with you but fail in their attempts. For without a voice box or visible physical body that can be seen on our side of life, how can they do this? Some might affect the lights, radio or television. The reason being, that their new body has the ability to affect electrical equipment. In time and with the right training, they can place thoughts in our mind or in exceptional circumstances-appear before you!
I’ve been staggered by the amount of people who have witnessed such events. When ‘linking in’, I might say to a person in the audience, ‘your Father tells me he appeared before you last year’. Tears of joy can follow at this point as the person realises that the experience was real and not a figment of their imagination.
Always try and understand it from the spirit person’s point of view, the difficulties for them can be considerable. For a medium, it can sometimes be like trying to tune in a radio to a particular signal, some being stronger than others.
It is the spirit people who choose the time and method to get in touch. It’s such a gentle and yet powerful experience when it happens. Try to have faith and patience-they have!
