Amazing Example of Spirit Manifestation

One of the great pleasures of my work as a medium is bringing me into contact with warm-hearted people this side of life. This was certainly the case with Leanne and her Mother, Tina. They showed me this amazing photograph taken by Leanne of her Mother sitting near the glowing embers of a barbecue they had earlier on an afternoon in late Spring. She used a mobile phone with a camera facility on it. Looking at it later she was astounded to discover this relatively young girl sitting right next to her Mother. Asking questions about this fascinating apparition, I was told that there was nobody alongside her Mother when the photograph was taken. I should say at this point that the image only appeared on the camera photograph and was not visible to anybody at the time of the event. Interestingly, the figure seems to have partly manifested into the left part of her Mother’s body. The bare leg is the girl’s not Tina’s.

I asked Tina if there was a young lady who had crossed who matched a particular description I gave her and she said that could apply to Molly, her dad’s sister who ‘passed’ from TB many years ago.
When linking in to the Spirit World a number of spirit people made themselves known letting me know about quite a range of information concerning family members including what I concluded was this young lady.

I am very grateful both to Leanne and Tina in helping me to provide what I consider to be an excellent example of spirit manifestation. As I said to them at the time, its for people like Tina and Leanne that I do this work.

Angels and Destiny

I often get enquiries regarding angels. It’s surprising how many people report having been visited by one of these heavenly beings. It is my view that most, if not all of us have guides who try and direct us throughout our lives. In very gentle ways, they put thoughts and feelings into our minds in order that our lives go in more meaningful directions. This is no easy business for them as our minds are usually preoccupied with the many thoughts and problems associated with modern living.
 
It is my view that our connections with the spirit world were clearer during ancient times. This is understandable when life expectancy was much shorter than it is today.
Surveys taken show that, on the whole, many people still believe in an afterlife
even if they don’t attend church on a regular basis. To believe in Angels or heavenly guides, there must surely be paths of life we are meant to take. As human beings, we are given that sacred gift of ‘free will’. Each moment of our life we can be making choices, which can either help or harm others. When these decisions are made that involve close family members, their effects can be far reaching. If we were able to look back at our lives, would we still make the same choices, and if not, why? Could it be that looked at with experience, we realise that our lives and those connected to us could have been so different.
 
It needs to be said at this point that many painful and tragic events happen within our lives that we have little or no influence over. I for one would not suggest that these things ‘were meant to be’. This short article refers to the events within our lives that we do have some control over and can be affected by making the right decision at the right time.
 
Our heavenly helpers have a much more informed view of where our lives should be going and whom we should spend it with. Even my own son some six years ago was not in the right relationship and I said, don’t worry, in the last week of May or first week of June next year you will meet someone who was meant for you and her name will either be Samantha or have something to do with that name. Given this was the October of the previous year; he was reluctant to believe it. The months rolled by and in the last week of May met a girl named Samantha, and I said, ‘what happened?’ ‘Nothing’, he replied. However the following week (the first week of June) he met a girl named Rebecca, but her parents were going to name her Samantha. He is still with her now! I must stress that this information was passed to me by one of my own heavenly helpers.
 
The point about all of this is that, in my view, much of our life is set out to receive certain lessons and to do so; we need to involve certain people in our lives. I’m sure the reader of this will have experienced that special chemistry that made one person suitable and another not so. Many search for their soul partner but should not be depressed if their present one is less than ideal because the lessons in the relationship might have been needed.
 
Seen from a heavenly point of view, there are signposts that occur within our lives suggesting a more meaningful direction for us to take but many, because they can be driven by negative compulsions such as alcohol or drug abuse, choose to ignore them.
 
I also take the view that our loved ones in the spirit world can sometimes be chosen to try and direct us to take better paths of life. How frustrating it must be for them as they witness us make the very same mistakes as they did. Although we look to the material goodies of life, angelic and spirit beings are more interested in the development of our soul. Therefore qualities such as compassion and understanding are more important to them.
 
That is not to say that, some ‘messages’ can’t have great meaning. I once gave a message to one young lady indicating that despite many setbacks in the past (about 7 of them), she would become pregnant and all would be well within the year. She looked at me with such emotion in her expression that I almost started crying myself. I saw her a little over 12 months later, with I’m glad to say, a wonderful healthy child.
It’s those moments that give so much meaning to my life and work.

The true LOVE of a Pet

How long does it take for animal to forge a bond with a human? Well, I would have to say only a few weeks. For this was the period of time that the cat shown in the photograph reached into our hearts. Turning up on our doorstep last August in a somewhat emaciated state, we gave it both care and TLC. Sadly, despite a number of trips to the vet in the weeks that followed, nothing could be done to halt the rapid decline in its health. Tests revealed that it was suffering from two serious terminal conditions. I’m sure there are others who read this who will be able to relate to this sad but meaningful story. Let me say first and foremost that in my view and experience their souls live on. Only last week at a performance a dog appeared before me with a spirit lady who told me this was Toby. The young lady I was giving the message to confirmed that was indeed the name of her grandmother’s dog.

In my time as a medium to date, I have clairvoyantly seen many former spirit pets that continue to live on with their owners within the spirit world. Although I’m a cat owner (4 of them and all rescue cats), I would say to anyone that if they ever want to experience true, sincere and complete unconditional love, have a dog for a pet. The level of the loyalty they demonstrate is in my view without equal.  Derek Acorah’s TV series on this very important subject will have brought a great deal of comfort to many.

We have obtained all of our rescue cats from either the Cats Protection, or RSPCA. I very much admire the crucial work that they do.

V.I.P - Vectis Investigations into the Paranormal

The work of a medium often brings him or her into contact with people who have or are experiencing great despair in their lives. Music and the Soul

Music has the wonderful ability to really reach into our nature. Special people in our lives and our memories of them are often recalled when those same melodies are heard again. Important and significant songs are also played at funeral services. To that end, music has the ability to truly reach into our soul. The powerful effect of hymns has long been recognised.

We all have our favourites which can either make us feel uplifted or emotional if connected with a person no longer this side of life. My own taste is quite wide but I do like songs from what are known as the ‘crooners’, including such artists as Perry Como, Dean Martin, Matt Monroe and Frank Sinatra. Bob Lind (www.BobLind.com) has also produced some excellent material both for himself and other artists.

Another of my favourite areas belongs to the type of music called ‘soul’ and its pop relative which showed itself in works by the Temptations, the Ojay’s, the Four Tops, the Detroit Spinners and Harold Melvin and the Bluenotes etc.

Recently, I was on a day out to Southport when I heard the wonderful singing of a person I came to find out was called T Kay down by the Promenade. As my wife and I sat listening, our memories were also stirred. In fact I was that impressed I e-mailed him to send me a photograph to put on my site. I must state quite clearly that no payment was asked for, wished or requested. The Spiritualists National Union

‘I love you mum!’

‘I love you mum!’ exclaimed the tearful young lady. This was the reaction from a young lady at the back of the theatre a few nights ago (Sept 2010) after receiving a very detailed and moving message from her mother, which turned out to include her full name and her daughter’s name too. There wasn’t a dry eye in the House including mine. She also told her through me about her suffering and some of the challenges her daughter had faced in her life. The impact of this reaction stayed with me throughout the hundreds of miles I had to drive after the show to my home. For despite the many years I have been doing this work, it still moves me so much. Each one of our lives faces so many challenges but the love of a parent for a child, and the child for the parent, never ends. Amongst all the trials of this life, the power and depth of that love can help to sweep aside all pain and sadness.

In my view they watch over us in a supportive but non-invasive manner (they respect our need for privacy too). They might stroke or kiss our head in much the same way they did when they were ‘on our side of life’, which we might experience as a sort of tickling sensation due to their very gentle spirit hands. In my view, many sense their presence, or in exceptional circumstances, see them. For, as I have stated in other places on this site, they can actually appear before us. They might smile in a loving way or communicate on a sort of mind-to-mind basis. These events when they happen are truly magical moments but many keep such visits private for fear of ridicule.

Judging by the reaction of this message, her daughter will never forget either what was told her or the wonderful realisation that her wonderful mother lives on in her spirit body and still watches over her much in the same way she did when on our side of life. There were many fine ‘links with the spirit world’ that night but this one was very special and I will never forget it.

A Haunting

Many years ago, when I was just about to take a service at a Spiritualist Church, the Chairperson on the day called me to the phone. On the other end was a very concerned lady who worked as a cleaner at a pub, which had experienced a great deal of happenings (paranormal phenomena) and wanted somebody to come out and investigate. I told her not to tell me anymore and agreed with her a date when I could come out to look into it.

When the day came, it could have been taken straight from one of the more frightening occult books found in any modern bookshop. To this day I can still remember my journey there on that dark windy night. It seemed so lonely on that road as I drove along to my destination. As I approached the building, it too seemed to vibrate with a feeling of sadness and isolation.

I parked my car at the back of the property and went in. As I didn’t want to know anything about what had been happening, I briefly made my introductions and quickly asked for a room I could meditate in. This I did and when I had finished, the lady who initially phoned me came into the room. At that point a most unusual, if not alarming vision, opened up before my eyes. For as I sat there, a spirit gentleman with a shotgun appeared in the air in front of me and discharged its barrels. I can still remember the sensation as those psychic pellets were fired. With them came certain feelings that he was trying to get across. I told the lady in front of me half-expecting her to collapse with shock. She didn’t but fully accepted when I told her that a man who had been in charge of the pub in the past had got himself into a rather difficult situation and decided to take his life. Having found himself very much ‘alive’ in the spirit world, he bitterly regretted his actions and had, as a consequence, been responsible for many of the unusual happenings that had taken place in the pub since that tragic date. I did my best to reassure this man and was able some time later to let his wife know about his regret. This brought both the spirit gentleman and his wife much comfort albeit they were each on different sides of life.

The families of mediums also have to face dealing with the physical suffering and loss that goes on this side of life. It was against just such a background that my wife and I visited New York last year, which was a gift from our sons. It was a very difficult time for my wife, for her fourth remaining brother was being treated for lymphoma. She almost didn’t go but his condition improved so we went. Unfortunately, his position considerably worsened in the weeks that followed and he left this side of life at the end of December 2009.

Our first visit when in New York was to St Patrick’s Cathedral to offer our prayers for those who passed and were affected by the 9/11 tragedy. Amongst the many that lost their lives on that fateful day were also 411 emergency workers. The New York City Fire Department (FDNY) lost 341 firefighters and 2 FDNY paramedics. The New York City Police Department lost 23 officers. The Port Authority Police Department lost 37 officers and 8 additional EMTs and paramedics from private EMS units were killed. These very special people paid the ultimate sacrifice on that day and it is to their honour that I have made this entry.

We also went to the site of 9/11 and the photo shows a photograph taken inside St Paul’s which, in the weeks following the attack, well-wishers created a make- shift memorial along the iron gates that surrounded it. They left thousands of pictures, notes, cards, patches from different fire departments worldwide and flowers dedicated to those who lost their lives. This part of our visit was very moving.

I would recommend anybody who can visit New York to do so for despite the difficulties that this fine City has had to endure, we found it to be a very interesting place to visit and the people were so friendly and welcoming.
