Spirit Messages and Their Healing Effect
There can be few, if any, more traumatic events than the physical loss of a loved one. The shock can and often is, felt for the remaining part of a person’s life. Grief counselling can provide tremendous help in assisting someone through this very difficult situation.
Most mediums advise not to have any one-to-one readings for at least 6-9 months. The reason being, that understandably, a person will hope and want some contact with the loved one who has just passed-over. If they don’t make themselves known at this reading, more stress can be the outcome.

At group events or shows, the energy within the room tends to be more balanced, and therefore it is usually easier for the Spirit World to make contacts with those on our side of life. Merely to witness others receiving messages can be very uplifting and I have received many e-mails from those attending such events expressing that very point of view.
If you are successful in getting a message, the effect can be very reassuring as the slow but dramatic realisation dawns on you that someone you suspected had gone forever, was still very much alive in their spirit body. These contacts can produce laughter or joyful tears as the spirit communicating through the medium describes events and people that are, or were part of your life. This is their way of trying to prove and demonstrate that they still exist and visit you in their spirit bodies during the normal course of your life.
People attending shows have often get in touch with me many months after a performance describing how wonderful the spirit contact experience was. The fact that the people who have’ passed over’ are now free of all pain is a definite bonus for them.
I understand that there are those who doubt the existence of the Spirit World, which is their right. However, I have also known many who have left after my performances being converted to total believers.
The healing effect of helping to confirm the continued existence of the human spirit, cannot in my view, be underestimated. For me as a medium to be part of this mystical process has a personal value that I could never attempt to express in words.
Possible Paranormal Phenomena
The photos below show a number of examples of what appear to be Orbs. Several other pictures also show these same features. As I have commented with others shown on this site, they may have a natural explanation. However, given the spread and frequency of them, they could also be of a paranormal nature.
Orbs are a fascinating subject and can indicate the presence of spirits. However, given that the ones displayed are in clusters, they are more likely to have a natural explanation such as dust, pollen particles or water droplets. Many thanks to Mrs Mason for supplying them:

The mist around the dog is interesting. With scenes of this type other information should also be sought. For instance, did the dog display any unusual behaviour patterns at the time of the event? Where there any sudden changes of temperature at the time which can also happen when spirit forms draw close.
My thanks to Katrina from Stockport for supplying them.

Photograph of possible paranormal phenomena taken at Susanne Morris’s wedding. She received a message from me at a recent show from three spirit communicators, one of which hung himself and mentioned a surname in the family.
Whilst acting as a ‘link’ I commented on how the spirit world have made themselves known to her by influencing electrical equipment in her home.
I subsequently came out to visit her and found that the property was indeed being affected by a range of spirit presences including one gentleman from the spirit world who walked through the living room when I was sitting there! A number of children also made themselves known to me who seemed to have been in care there in the past. Susanne confirmed that the hisory of the property stated this to be the case.
I would like to compliment Sussane’s open minded approach to these psychic activities. Like me, she sees them as being ‘normal’.

Spirits and Psychic Phenomena at a Recent Show
The photo below was kindly sent to me by Amy Ash, who attended a show I appeared at last week (April 09). Unusually, to my right there appears to be a large grey orb like shape, along with another orb that is also visible. To be fair, I would like to have investigated the room further on the night before forming an opinion but I was so involved with the messages, I wasn’t looking for these images.

The whole subject of orbs, whilst fascinating, also attracts criticism that they are merely specs of dust or pollen if seen outside. To date, I have witnessed a range of harmless, but interesting, phenomena occur at my shows. For instance, at this same event, one father figure allowed his daughter on this side of life to feel a gentle tingling across her shoulders while I was giving a message to her from him. I told her that he was providing that sensation to demonstrate and prove he was standing alongside of her in his spirit form while I was passing information from me to her. This experience brought her a great deal of comfort.
It was truly a magical night in many ways with many spirit communicators drawing close and bringing great comfort to those that were present. Some 4 or 5 of them gave the actual roads of residence, along with their names of either where they lived or where their relatives in the audience resided. As always, there were tears of joy as these wonderful spirit people drew close.
I would like to thank Amy for taking the time and trouble to send this photograph to me.
If any of you would like to send other photographs of a paranormal nature, then please contact us and we will provide details on how you can submit your images to us.
Mediumship Using a Combination of Psychic Channels
One of the amazing aspects of being a medium is how in spirit communications, information will be received through a number of psychic channels. In the video shown below, I was given a prickly sensation throughout my body, saw a diseased liver and heard in my mind the name Hunt along with the initials of the two spirit communicators. As can be seen, all of this information was verified by the two daughters of the mothers that are now in spirit were sending me.
This communication process can be truly astounding when it is received and the information is passed on to the receivers of the message in the audience.
As I have mentioned on a number of occasions, the medium, therefore, acts as both a RECEIVER and INTERPRETER of what is given by the Spirit World.
Spirit Visitors
It is my belief that the spirit world interconnects with this one but is on a much higher vibration and unless clairvoyant vision of a particular type is present, cannot be seen. However, it is quite common for loved ones to be sensed by many individuals. It is very understandable that people tend to keep these experiences private for fear of being ridiculed.
Spirit people will use the psychic sense most active in the person they wish to contact. The easiest way to explain this is to imagine that for every normal sense there is a corresponding psychic sense. One particular one that is used by spirit visitors to make themselves known is by producing a fragrance in the atmosphere of a receptive person. It will normally have a particular association to a deceased loved one and will be instantly recognised. A great deal of preparation goes on in the inner worlds to produce these effects. In our terms its equivalent to saying ‘I exist, I am here and I still care about you’. Other spirit visits may use other senses such as feelings or in some unique circumstances, vision.

The ghost at Raynam Hall in Norfolk which was photographed in 1936 and subsequently investigated by ghost-hunter Robert Thurston Hopkins
They have to choose moments when we are at our most receptive, which is usually in a relaxed state. My own parents make themselves known to me on a frequent basis, at least once a week. When we think of our loved ones with emotion, a strong signal is sent out into the ether and is received almost instantaneously. They then draw close but because of a lack of sensitivity on our part, we might not be aware of their presence.
However, those with some psychic abilities will become aware of them and are therefore very comforted by the experience. I remember attending a funeral and as the congregation were facing the altar, the spirit loved ones were standing facing them in respect as the prayers in the service were read out. Needless to say, I kept these observations to myself, except my wife. They will choose to attend momentous events such as weddings and christenings. On exceptional occasions, they might produce some phenomena to validate their visit. Examples can include falling feathers, moving objects or leaving images on certain photographs taken on the day.
In a similar way, the room an evening of clairvoyance is to take place in will be well prepared by the spirit world beforehand. The psychic atmosphere is adjusted by an inner plane guide often called ‘The Chemist’ as it is their role to try and maintain its qualities at the optimum. Unfortunately, negative thoughts by those attending can interfere with it, making, on some occasions, the process of communication more difficult. It is partly for this reason that people sing hymns in churches and recite prayers-‘to raise the vibrations’. The nearer the psychic atmosphere approaches the nature of the heaven world, the easier it is for those that reside there to make themselves heard and known. Makes sense doesn’t it? Cynical or very tense individuals, because of the ‘thought atmosphere’ they produce, are unlikely to obtain favourable results when trying to become aware of the spirit world. This is especially evident in private readings. In my experience, most people who attend private readings or shows accept the logic of this reasoning. There are a few, however, who don’t but they tend to be the very cynical. Fortunately, with large groups or audiences, the atmosphere is more balanced as the kinder positive thoughts tend to even out any negative vibrations present.
If we are to get the best out of spirit communication, it is essential we try to accept and understand how it works and what we can do to assist its effectiveness. They are, remember, in another sort of spirit dimension. Even with a medium acting as a receiving instrument, its no easy business for them to get information from their world into ours.
The Spirit World
From what we know of this of this wonderful place, the higher levels are places of love, light and harmony. Newly arriving spirit people will be met by their loved ones who may have ‘passed’ many years before.
Communication is very much done on a mind to mind basis. The Spirit body is a sort of energy form and travel can be carried out almost instaneously. One merely has to think of a destination and the journey takes place in an inkling.
Spiritualists don’t refer to Heaven and Hell as they adhere to the belief that while there are certainly different levels reflecting how a person has lived his or her life, the opportunity to correct one’s misdeeds allows the opportunity to ‘rise up on the planes’.
As a practising medium, I have had communications from a whole range of people from different ‘backgrounds’. One, a former bank robber, who gave me the actual name of the road where he used to live seemed happy enough. In fairness, he realised where he had ‘gone wrong’ and was changing for the better. His daughter in the audience that night gasped in suprise when I mentioned that road. Up until then, there was an understandable reluctance for anyone to accept the communication.
We continue to learn in this heavenly place and are with our loved family members or friends. It is us who choose to live with or see those that we care about. It goes without saying, therefore, that if a man has had a number of wives, he can still see them as the ‘physical and jealous associations’ are not as meaningful in the Spirit World.
Just as well!
Spirit Guides
Spirit Guides are people who are carefully chosen to guide us along the paths of our life. There are those who claim to have American Indian Guides, which isn’t suprising since many of those people were very much in touch with their spiritual destiny. However, Guides can be drawn from any field of inner wisdom. They will have probably trodden the same paths of physical life that we now travel along. Through gentle and subtle thought impressions, they attempt to direct us in directions that fit our soul’s purpose. As human beings, we still have our free will which has been given as a sacred gift and the Guide has to take that into account when using his or her influence. Those who meditate on a regular basis are more likely to be aware of them. Sometimes they might give their name or details of their former life or lives. By helping us, they also help themselves since the evolution of all of our souls is the ultimate aim.

Mediums will use a number of Guides when passing messages from the Spirit Realms. As a medium develops or pursues a different course in their lives, other Guides can be brought in. When a new Guide is brought in, a period of adjustment is needed. During this time, the communication process can often be more challenging for the practising medium.
What are Seances?
Seance is a word used to describe, as the photograph shows, a group of people gathered together whose wish is to ‘get in touch’ with the spirit world. They were called ‘circles’ because those attending would often sit around a circle.
As can also be seen in the image, it was felt that by linking hands, the psychic power could be boosted. These groups would usually be supervised by at least one medium who acted as the ‘link’ between ‘worlds’. However, any person attending might have become a channel for communication.

The nineteenth century witnessed quite a number of these seances whose purpose was also to try and persuade the spirit world to produce physical phenomena such as knocks, raps or have objects appear in the air. These could include such effects as maybe a spirit hand, or if they were very fortunate, a complete manifestation.
Circles meet in many private houses today (I used to run one myself some years ago) as they do in Spiritualist Churches. However, the linking of hands is now regarded aby many as unecessary.
While a limited number still try and produce physical phenomena, the vast majority are to do with non-physical spirit communication and training.
The Human Aura
If you look at the diagram, it shows an image of a human being surrounded by layers of energy each relecting their own subject. Some clairvoyants will look at the various colours and intensities and draw conclusions about that part of your life or nature
1. Etheric, entered through the chakras which enable the universal life force to nourish the organism.
2. Astral or emotional, as the name suggests, the seat of emotions. the Astral body is considred to be a nonsolid duplicate of the physical body.
3. The mental body which is the part of the aura vibrating with our thinking and intellect.
4. The causal body which is the closest to our higher self.
5. The spiritual body.
Belief in the emanation of vital energy from the body was present in ancient Greece, Egypt, India and Rome. Paracelcus (a German physician who lived during the years of 1493-1541) referred to the ‘fiery aura’.
In 1939 Semyon Davidovich Kirlian a Russian electrician produced work which claimed to record the aura on film-Kirlian Photography.
To confuse matters further, no two clairvoyants will see the same in any one aura. Perhaps, that could be to do with their own differences in clairvoyant vision.
Belief in Fairies
Many cultures refer to these supernatural beings. I prefer the point of view that they could be a form of nature spirit. One opinion from folklore is that they have special powers. It is furthermore claimed that some of them could be mischeivious, especially if insulted. People of today are still advised to treat them with respect. For instance, there is a Fairy Bridge ion the Isle Of Man where travellers are asked to acknowledge them as they pass over it. This beautiful Island has a fascinating history of the pararnormal. The Druids living there were known to to be highly skilled in their various magical arts.

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was deeply interested in SPIRITUALISM and psychic phenomena. In the early days of the 1920 years he was tricked by photographs claiming to be those of fairies (see the photograph), which like popular folklore were winged female fgures. The photograph shown was taken by two young sisters named Elsie and Francis Wright of Cottingley, Yorkshire. They insisted that the pictures were genuine even though the expert view was that the photographs were fake.
While I haven’t personally seen these creatures, I don’t exclude the possibility that some form of being that occupies the inner realms might have given cause for belief in them to spread. Although modern images of them are tiny creatures with wings, earlier versions were also of tall radiant figures. Depending on what culture is referred to, as mentioned above, they can be been seen as harmful rather than helpful to humans. In fairness to a great deal of past events, the paranormal world was seen as responsible for many of what are now considered as perfectly natural phenomena. For example, illnesses were blamed on evil spirits in some cultures. One theory is that part of the responsibility of Fairies is to watch over trees, flowers and other aspects of the natural world. Like all subjects of this type, separating fact from fiction is no easy business.
